What Makes Columbus Online Outstanding

Columbus Online Academy is for 7-12 students who prefer a primarily online learning environment with the periodic option for in-person support, assessment, completion, and engaging and enriching learning experiences.

Columbus Online Academy is a "school without walls," featuring:

• 7-12 general curriculum. Grade 7 students participate in music, art, and physical education. Eighth-graders can earn high school credit for music, art, and physical education classes.
• Full-time teacher support 5-days a week.
• Teacher availability during school hours includes both class time via zoom and office hours.
• Balance between synchronous and asynchronous time for students.
• Mandatory in-person testing, orientation, help sessions, and extended learning opportunities.
• Options are available for students to work outside of the school day with teacher permission. 

Enrollment into the Columbus Online Academy is completed through the lottery enrollment process and COA will become your child's home school.
